The Park
Everything is enchantment at the Festival, the Opera of Serra da Capivara!
It takes place in one of the most impressive places in Brazil, with extraordinary scenic beauty and archaeological richness that challenges the theories about the peopling of the Americas. We are talking about a place so incredible that The New York Times named it one of the must-see attractions on planet Earth. And that’s no exaggeration - those who have been here know it!
Serra da Capivara National Park offers several tour routes within its boundaries: visits to caves and rock shelters, hikes through canyons and interpretive forest trails, breathtaking rock climbs, ascents up towering sandstone walls, views of countless panels of prehistoric rock paintings, and stairways leading to heights with extraordinary panoramic vistas.
Another highlight is the hospitality and joy of the communities that live around the park.
And, as if all that were not enough, the region also boasts two museums full of stories about humanity and the origins of the universe.
